When I see the tulips here at Cottonwood court, I know Spring has arrived. The Jonquils, Hyacinths, and Crocus didn’t do so well this year as it remained so cold, snowed some, and then we had a hard freeze that finished them off quickly.
The plum tree is in full bloom and a beautiful pink. It should be a nonbearing fruit tree. However, it’s a very old tree and has started to produce fruit again. Back to the natural tree.
There’s a lot of work to do here in the Spring, but we are ready to get out in the warm, fresh air and get our exercise. We’ll be fertilizing the lawns, planting a few more summer flowers, planting the vegetable garden, and some general “after winter” repairs and cleanup.
I’m ready to get my hands dirty!
